Nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont, overlooking the Chittenden Reservoir, the Mountain Top Inn & Resort is the ideal place to spend the lazy days of summer and forget about the world's worries.

You will stay for three nights in a luxurious classic lodge room*, and enjoy a hearty New England breakfast each morning. Spend your days exploring the surrounding 350 acres of natural beauty on foot during some great guided trail walking. Follow a trail through the Green Mountain National Forest, over rushing streams and within view of deer, moose, osprey, hawks, kingfishers, beavers, black ducks, and mallards. Explore the lush Green Mountain National Forest, walking past the old New Boston colony of the 1800's, with historic remains of homes that were deserted for more populated towns such as Chittenden and Rutland. Yet another trail takes you where Chittenden Lake and Mount Carmel are framed by the Green Mountain National Forest to create one of the most picturesque views in Vermont.

After your walk, take a kayak out on the lake for some solitary time and sit out on the porch or veranda and chat with your new friends. The world just feels better when you are embraced by nature and the laughter of friends.
